Richard Anderson Joins Clarkstown Daily Voice As Community Advisor

CLARKSTOWN, N.Y. -- Richard Whittaker Anderson, former executive director of the Historical Society of Rockland, is one of Daily Voice's community advisors for its Clarkstown site.

Community advisors provide Daily Voice with tips for local news and events.

Anderson was born and raised in Congers, in the home of his great, great grandparents, where he still lives today.

Anderson's community involvement includes the board of the Congers Civic Association and Congers History Museum, chairperson for the Historical Society of Rockland’s Buildings and Grounds committee and guest co-curator for the Holiday 2015 exhibition, Keep Rockland Beautiful’s Congers Litter Coordinator, Food Delivery and Distribution to many of Rockland’s food pantries. 

He also is a proud member of many other institutions, including the Historical Society of The Nyacks, The National Trust for Historic Preservation and more.

After graduating from college, Anderson worked in corporate America for 12 years before opening his own company, acting as a residential consultant to the personal insurance industry, as well as residential and interior design services. 

He currently is in real estate sales with Joyce Realty in Pearl River.
